Olivia Rodrigo’s SOUR- First Impressions!

Sour' review: Olivia Rodrigo's 'Traitor' has Taylor Swift's influence

Olivia Rodrigo’s debut album SOUR is out now, and I’m so excited for you all to hear it! If you haven’t listened to these songs yet, I highly recommend you do. Olivia has created an amazing record with 11 songs, no skips, and many incredible moments. I really looked forward to this album and it delivered! I enjoyed it a lot first listen, so here are some of my first impressions when I first listened to each song. Obviously I have been streaming the singles on repeat for months now, so I don’t really have new reactions, but drivers license, good 4 u, and deja vu are incredible songs and if you somehow haven’t heard them, I’m sure you’ll love them as well! Without further ado, here were my first impressions of the songs on Olivia’s new album SOUR, out now!

1. brutal

While listening to the album, I did a sort of album review through Discord messages, so I’ll be including those. Obviously my opinion will change a lot but I just wanted to share some of the things I thought while listening to these amazing songs for the first time!

SHE CAN’T EVEN PARALLEL PARK!

I also wanted to share a lyric or few that I really loved from the songs! Of course her lyricism is off the charts so I love every line, but some did stand out to me.

I’m so sick of seventeen, where’s my fucking teenage dream?

Olivia Rodrigo, brutal

2. traitor

the LYRICISM!! the EMOTION!! the BETRAYAL!!

I kept quiet so I could keep you

Olivia Rodrigo, traitor

3. drivers license

you said forever…

…now I drive alone past your street

Olivia Rodrigo, drivers license

4. 1 step forward, 3 steps back

the rhythm of the chorus… mwah

Do you love me, want me, hate me? Boy, I don’t understand

No, I don’t understand

Olivia Rodrigo, 1 step forward, 3 steps back

5. deja vu

this was like a mini cultural reset

She thinks it’s special, but it’s all reused…

Olivia Rodrigo, deja vu

6. good 4 u

this song is insanely addictive (yes like a drug)

Maybe I’m too emotional, but your apathy’s like a wound in salt

Olivia Rodrigo, good 4 u

7. enough for you

little did i know i was about to go on an EMOTIONAL JOURNEY

Anyone else think 1 step forward, 3 steps back + enough for you = Dear John?

Now I don’t want your sympathy, I just want myself back

Olivia Rodrigo, enough for you

8. happier

this one was probably my immediate favorite with the production, lyrics, vocals, and everything!

But she’s beautiful, she looks kind

She probably gives you butterflies

Olivia Rodrigo, happier

9. jealousy, jealousy

SO good so far
she’s right

I loooove this song! It’s on repeat for now and probably ever; I just wanted to pop in and say that this song is so catchy in such a relatable way and I think a lot of people would connect to the message. It’s impressive how Olivia could write a song with all of that! Then again, all her songs are insanely addictive so it’s not a surprise.

All I see is what I should be

Happier, prettier, jealousy, jealousy

Olivia Rodrigo, jealousy, jealousy

10. favorite crime

SO OBSESSED WITH THIS SONG

but I say that I hate you with a smile on my face…

Olivia Rodrigo, favorite crime

11. hope ur ok

the emotional impact takes a while to set in, but DANG. and the storytelling and lyricism are beautiful

My favorite part of this song, other than the masterfully architectured bridge is the EMOTIONAL VOCALS THAT MAKE ME BREAK DOWN EVERY TIME! Don’t believe me? Go listen to it and tell me you don’t tear up at “I miss you, and I hope that you’re ok.”

Address the letters, to the holes in my butterfly wings

Nothing’s forever, nothing was as good as it seems

Olivia Rodrigo, hope ur ok

brb gonna go cry to this again

First Listen Rankings

I tried really hard to rank the songs of SOUR but in the end it was too hard to choose. All of these songs would be S-tier and A-tier in my tier list. Maybe one day in the future I’ll be able to rank the songs but for now, SOUR is too perfect to be ranked. I appreciate Olivia not including a single skip song in this album!

Edit: Here is the original ranking I came up with. I went back and looked at it, and it’s actually held up over time. It’s not perfect, but here’s my ranking, kind of?

RankOptions
1happier
2jealousy, jealousy
3good 4 u
4drivers license
5brutal
6hope ur ok
71 step forward, 3 steps back
8traitor
9enough for you
10favorite crime
11deja vu

In Conclusion

THANK YOU OLIVIA!! SOUR is truly a no skip album and if you haven’t listened to it yet please please do because I’m sure you will find that they are your new favorite songs, as they are with me. I’m elated that Olivia has released such an incredible album as her DEBUT and I’m excited to see what’s next! Now excuse me while I listen to SOUR on repeat for the next year.

ONLY CHILD – Sasha Sloan’s new album! (and what I think about each song)

Hi everyone! Sasha Sloan has just (last year) released her first studio album, called Only Child. Today I’m going to be going through and telling you guys my opinions and thoughts on each of the ten songs. I think this is a really great album and you should all listen to it if you have the time! I hadn’t heard a lot of Sasha’s songs before but this was on repeat forever after it dropped. If you want, click here to see Genius’ tracklist and lyrics for all of these songs. I know I’m super late, but hope you enjoy!

Sasha Sloan’s debut album, Only Child, is out now.

1. Matter To You

This is an incredibly wholesome opening track for this album, and I think we all love it! For me, this whole album was very relatable, and this song highlighted the parts of life that I wanted to relate to. Very sweet lyrics and super catchy, of course. While I related to a lot of this song, the first verse is about how she doesn’t like New York City and that’s the only part I don’t agree with because I love NYC, LOL. Also, can we talk about that part at the end where the instrumental cuts out on every other beat of the singing? Holy crap, I was so shocked at first listen! It really adds so much to the song though, and it’s DEFINITELY not boring.

I hate New York City

All the lights are way too bright

Million people on the street

They’re all living their own lives

And I’m a stranger

Sasha Sloan, Matter To You

2. Only Child

Only Child is the title track for this album, and it’s about (you guessed it) being an only child. On first listen for me, I didn’t love this song (maybe because I’m not an only child…) but I’d say this is a grower. It’s still not my favorite on the album, but you can’t deny that it’s catchy and touching. Even though I do have a sibling, this song made me appreciate that more. (Also, not specific to this song of course, but Sasha’s vocals are chef’s kiss on this album!)

When our parents fight, we’d just smile

It gets lonely being an only child

Sasha Sloan, Only Child

3. House With No Mirrors

House With No Mirrors was the second released single for this album (released before the album) and it’s a very thought-provoking song with lots of meaning behind it. The question the song is asking is, what if I lived in a house with no mirrors? Or more broadly, what if we didn’t look at our self image or body so much? You should definitely listen to it and form your own opinions on this important societal issue, but it’s also a personal issue that many of us can connect deeply with.

Maybe I’d dream a bit bigger

If there was nothin’ to see

Sasha Sloan, House With No Mirrors

4. Lie

Lie is one of my favorite songs on the whole album. The vibes are just incredible. Heartbreaking and catchy, it’s everything I would want in a Sasha Sloan song! I think the storyline and the situation of the singer is very clearly shown and imagined by the listener. Also, the chorus is such a brain worm so get ready for it to be stuck in your head forever. (Edit: after some research, I found out that this song was apparently the lead single for Only Child, which I didn’t know before, but that’s cool!)

Can we just dance ’til the skies are white?

‘Cause I really can’t get my heart broken tonight

Sasha Sloan, Lie

5. Hypochondriac

Another cute song but with a much more serious undertone. Very reminiscent of the first song on this album (Matter To You.) Listening to this song is an emotional and introspective experience. Think about this song!!

Second that you called me yours

I had something worth living for

Now I’m scared of planes and heart attacks

If I die I’ll never get you back

You made me a hypochondriac

Sasha Sloan, Hypochondriac

6. Is It Just Me?

The best way I can describe this song is: the subreddit r/unpopularopinions. Just kidding, but also not kidding. The joke is that the subreddit is known for posting lots of popular opinions labeled as unpopular opinions, which I’d say is the same for this song, but at least this one is catchy, great to listen to, hilarious, and has a remix with Charlie Puth! Let’s go through a checklist: How many of these do you agree with? (Note that there are many more opinions on the song, but these are just a few selections. Also, I love the Charlie Puth remix a lot go listen to it now.)

  1. Politicians are annoying
  2. Old music was better
  3. The show Friends was overrated
  4. Marijuana’s classy
  5. People my age make me nauseous

Am I just high

Or am I kinda right?

Sasha Sloan, Is It Just Me?

7. Santa’s Real

CHILLS. This song asks hard hitting questions and makes you cry. Real-life issues layered with Sasha’s amazing delivery makes Santa’s Real UNBELIEVABLE to listen to. Listen to it!!! Keep tissues though. Also, the ethereal feeling is incredible. All around a great song.

I wanna live in a world

Where peoplе don’t get hurt

And everybody’s got еnough money

Where nobody ever gets sick

Or has to skip a meal

I wanna live in a world where Santa’s real

Sasha Sloan, Santa’s Real

8. Someone You Hate

A catchy storytelling melody about going from someone you love to someone you hate. I really enjoy this song as well; it’s one of my favorites. It truly immersed me in the story of this girl who fell out of love and had to end a relationship, even though none of that has happened to me. Definitely recommend!

We were growing, growing apart

And I knew I had to break your heart

So off I went

Haven’t seen you since

Sasha Sloan, Someone You Hate

9. Until It Happens To You

Let me tell you, I was most obsessed with this song when the album first came out. Apparently it’s one of the songs I’ve listened to the most on Spotify? From the first notes it’s already heartbreakingly sad and yet relatable from either perspective. It tells of not being able to truly understand a tragedy…until it happens to you. I hope the song will support someone going through a really tough time, thinking no one in the world understands what they’re going through, though in reality survivors and people going through the same thing might have some idea of it. You can definitely get the feeling that your friends support you and are trying to help you, but they’ve simply never gone through anything like it in their own lives. I’m not really sure why I love this song so much (I don’t really feel like I’m any of the people described) but that’s probably a testament to Sasha’s incredible voice, production, and songwriting. You will cry, you will feel the song, and then you will have it stuck in your head for the next hour. Sorry, I don’t make the rules!

Somebody loses their somebody every day

You’ll never really know what it’s like

‘Til you wake up to some real bad news

You’ll never really know how it feels

‘Til it happens to you

Sasha Sloan, Until It Happens To You

10. High School Me

The final track of this album is a nostalgic and uplifting song called High School Me. Sasha sings about her high school self seeing her now, and thinking that her high school self would be proud of the kind of person she’s become and how far she’s gone. The sound of the track is very nice to listen to, and the song will hit you in the feels right as the album ends. A great ending to a great album.

If high school me could see me now

I bet high school me would be so proud

She’d find out the cool kids, they ain’t everything

The world is so much bigger than her town

Sasha Sloan, High School Me

NEW MUSIC RELEASES! (My favorites!)

Yo, it’s me, your favorite annoying song-recommender and Marina fangirl. Let’s just ignore the fact that I got locked out of my WordPress account for like 5 months and didn’t write anything… anyway today let’s talk about NEW MUSIC RELEASES! Recently some of my favorite artists have been dropping songs, albums, singles, and I’m excited to tell you all about it! Most of the songs or albums in this list would fall into the alternative/indie genre, with some pop, but I think even if you don’t usually listen to that kind of music you’ll definitely like some of it. A big thanks to anyone who recommended this music to me because I am definitely not the one discovering all this music for myself. Also, I say these are new music releases, but I pretty much count anything from this summer onwards because hey, no one has a perception of time anyway. Let’s get started!

Man’s World by MARINA

Man’s World is Marina Diamandis’ lead single from her upcoming fifth studio album. It was released on November 18th, 2020, and is a catchy and empowering anthem. According to Wikipedia, “The song is a midtempo alternative pop track with a piano-driven beat and a dreamy sound. Its lyrics criticize history’s oppressive treatment of women and minority groups, and Marina admits that she does not “want to live in a man’s world anymore”.” In my opinion, this song is perfectly MARINA and so enjoyable to listen to. The music video is also PERFECTION, and really gorgeous as a music video, so you should watch that here.

A great interview: https://www.vogue.com/article/marina-mans-world-single

folklore by Taylor Swift

Folklore (Taylor Swift album) - Wikipedia

Taylor Swift’s eighth studio album, released on July 24, 2020 as a surprise album, is full of poetic lyrics and whimsical masterpieces. According to Wikipedia, “An indie folkalternative rockelectro-folk, and chamber pop album, Folklore departs from the upbeat pop sound of Swift’s previous albums, for mellow tunes driven by piano and guitar, featuring production from Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff. Written and recorded in isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic, Swift called the album “a collection of songs and stories that flowed like a stream of consciousness” rising out of her imagination; it manifests vivid storytelling from largely third-person perspectives that detail introspection and escapism. The project sees Swift adopting a rustic, cottagecore aesthetic.”

Only Child by Sasha Sloan

Sasha Sloan – Only Child Lyrics | Genius Lyrics

Sasha Sloan’s first studio album, Only Child, was released on October 16, 2020, and is full of catchy and emotional indie songs. I have been streaming this on repeat for the longest time, and some of my favorites include Lie, Someone You Hate, and Until It Happens To You. The lead single is House With No Mirrors, and a remix of Is It Just Me? has been released as a collaboration with Charlie Puth. I will be writing a longer post about this album, so look out for that, but for now I’ll just say that I recommend it!

Therefore I Am by Billie Eilish

Therefore I Am (song) - Wikipedia

Therefore I Am is Billie Eilish’s most recent single, released on November 12, 2020 produced by her brother Finneas. According to Wikipedia, “Therefore I Am’ is an uptempo pop and dark pop track. Lyrically, Eilish sings about not caring what people think about her. A music video was released on the same day, and depicts Eilish in an empty shopping mall while eating and drinking various foods and beverages.” I love the music video for this song, and it’s super catchy and can get stuck in your head easily! Billie departs from her recent style to go back to more of a my strange addiction-type song, and I think it’s really enjoyable.

This piece is so pretty but very long! (Sleeping Beauty Waltz 4 Hands)

Recently, I’ve been learning some new piano music both by myself and in duets with my friends. A few pieces include “It Takes Three To Tango” with my sister and our family friend, and “For The First Time In Forever” in a duet with my sister. One of the pieces I am now learning (a duet with another family friend) is called The Sleeping Beauty Waltz (Valse no. 6) by Tchaikovsky, arr. Rachmaninoff. I’m really excited about learning this, because it’s really beautiful! It features the classic Sleeping Beauty theme that everyone knows, with really nice trills, harmonies, and articulation. Here’s a video of it on YouTube (this is not me playing.)

At first, I thought this piece was so pretty, but so long! It’s about 16 pages long, but playing it all the way through took a long time for me, especially while I was still learning the notes. As I continued learning it, though, it didn’t seem as challenging as before. Now, I can play the whole thing through and I’m working on playing it together with my friend. Obviously, I have only just started learning, so there’s still much more technique and expression that I can do with this piece, but I’m much farther along than I was just a week ago. My part is the upper part (part one) and it is completely in the treble clef. I’m having a lot of fun learning and playing this, and hopefully I can post a video of me playing it one day.

My Piano Performances

As I mentioned in my Get To Know Me post, I play the piano! I’ve been playing for almost seven years, and I participate in some festivals and competitions. Most of the festivals are not competitive, and most of the competitions don’t have a money prize, but some do. Here are some video clips of me performing!

This is a really old video but I like this piece!
This one isn’t from a festival, it’s just me playing at home. This one is actually on my YouTube channel, so check that out!
A recent video, before everything was shut down.

I hope you enjoyed this post and all the videos! Let me know if you want to see more content like this. I definitely have a lot of videos of me performing because I have been playing piano for more than 6 years. These videos are also not my best performances, they’re just a few I found online. I’m definitely not that talented, but I’ve practiced for a while so I can play ~some pieces~. Thanks for reading!

I’ve been so obsessed with these dudes lately

Hey, welcome back to my blog where I talk about random stuff and sometime post really short posts. Today I’m going to be telling you about a YouTuber that I’ve really enjoyed watching this week. His name is Danny Gonzalez.

Creators are using a new tactic to air grievances over copyright ...
I am going to put too many hyperlinks in this post 😀 this is intentional

I discovered Danny Gonzalez very recently, maybe this week or last week, and I have now watched a lot of his videos on both his main and second channel. He makes comedy videos including commentary on interesting (bad) movies, commentary on cringey YouTube videos, and amazing parody songs that can be found on his Spotify page. He recently released an EP called Bump This, and it’s pretty good too! His videos make me genuinely laugh out loud and I think you should definitely check him out. He gained popularity on Vine (what are thoseeee) and then became popular on YouTube because of his Troom Troom videos. I’m proud to say that I am a part of Greg, the fastest growing army on YouTube (ur not allowed to look that up btw) and the strongest army on YouTube. But it’s not just a fanbase, it’s a family. All Gregs are related by blood. I encourage to become Greg just like me!

Last year, Danny, his friend Drew, and his other friend Kurtis went on tour across the nation. Drew is another Viner-turned-popular YouTuber and I also really enjoy his videos, though I don’t watch them as often. Road work ahead yeah I sure hope it does. He and Danny are actually the same person, even though their tour name was “We Are Not The Same Person.” The opening song of their tour was a banger by the same name, which you can listen to here. Here’s a quote from that song:

I  am Drew
I  am Danny
And we are not the same person
We may have similar lives
We  may have similar wives
But  we are different nonetheless

We Are Not The Same Person by Danny Gonzalez and Drew Gooden
Here’s the whole video LMAO

The lyrics are just amazing. Watch the video!!! Also, something random but really cool is that the King of Youtube, pewds himself actually watches Drew’s videos so that is pretty litty. I really enjoy both of their videos, ESPECIALLY the ones where they collab and they are both in the video. Double the fun!!! Anyway, hope you enjoyed this post and go sub to them now! CLICK HERE

Games To Play With Your Friends on Zoom!

Are you hanging out with your friends virtually on Zoom, FaceTime, or Hangouts? If you are having an online party, here are 5 games you can play without any supplies or prior planning. If you are bored with just talking, trying these is a great idea. Let me know what you think of these!

How To Use Zoom For Meetings & Class During Coronavirus
This image was found on Google Images.

skribbl.io

This is a fun, simple Pictionary-esque game that is really fun with your friends on Zoom. You can play this game anytime, even without your friends, in public rooms. If you’re on Zoom or FaceTime, create a “private room” and invite your friends to play together on the same server. It’s so simple that you basically don’t need to explain the rules at all, so it’s really perfect for an impromptu game with new friends. It’s really great!

gartic.io

Gartic is almost the exact same as skribbl, with a few extra features. You can also choose a theme of the prompts. How you play is the exact same: players try to guess what the drawer is drawing. Guessing correctly earns you points. and you win if you end with the most points! A good option, a little more polished than skribbl but maybe less user-friendly.

Mafia

Mafia is a super fun game to play in real life, but you might be thinking, there’s no way we could play online! Actually, you can totally play this hilarious complex game on Zoom or Discord. Using the “private-message” feature, the narrator can assign roles to players. The narrator tells everyone the story of the game, and players can give alibis and accuse others. I love playing with twists like turning off video during the night so it’s “dark,” and having ghosts have their videos on only during the night. Really, it’s so much fun on Zoom. If you don’t know the rules, you’ll have to learn them first, though they’re not too hard to figure out. There are many different variations of this game and all of them will work, pretty much.

Never Have I Ever

A fun way to play Never Have I Ever is on an online video chat with friends! Make sure you know the order of when people will go, perhaps alphabetically because people show up on the screen in different order for different people. Have everyone hold up 10 fingers (or maybe 5 fingers for a smaller game) and go in order saying a statement like, “Never have I ever been to Japan.” If the statement applies to you (if you have been to Japan) you have to put a finger down. When you put all your fingers down, you’re out of the game. Last person standing wins!

kahoot.it

Kahoot is really fun to play and there are quizzes on lots of different categories and subjects. If you want a more personalized game, you could make your own Kahoot with your own questions! Some fun ideas to play are Disney movies, Star Wars, or sports trivia! I’ve both made my own customized games and played ones that others have made, and both are fun. For this to work, one person has to be the host, so they can’t technically play. The host screenshares the kahoot screen and everyone tries to answer the questions. It’s easiest if people have multiple devices (i.e. a smartphone and a laptop) but it’s still possible if you just have a computer.

That was it for my post today; I hope everyone enjoyed it! Let me know if you will be using any of these in the future, and maybe playing with people you haven’t seen in a long time or ones that live far away. Even if the pandemic is dying down, online video chats are still a fun way to talk to others. Remember to stay safe, social distance, wear a mask, and GO HARDER FOR BREONNA TAYLOR! petition gofundme contact learn

The Best YouTube Songs

There’s so many great songs on YouTube! Let’s take a look at some of my favorites. I tried to include mostly songs that are focused on YouTube and made by YouTubers, not normal songs that play on the radio usually and are released in albums.

1. Congratulations by PewDiePie, RoomieOfficial, and Boyinaband

This is one of my all-time favorite songs! It’s super catchy, funny, and sarcastic. It features three of my favorite YouTubers, and each part of the song has a unique charm that is really appealing and the lyrics are hilarious and truthful. Definitely listen to this!

2. B*tch Lasagna by PewDiePie

ICONIC, LEGENDARY, it’s very catchy and literally everyone who doesn’t live under a rock should know this song. If you haven’t listened to it, I mean, it’s kind of an essential part of history everyone should listen to.

3. Talking Loud by Jennifer Zhang

This is a powerful, political statement by JenerationDIY. I think this is the first song she’s ever released so that’s pretty cool! I don’t really watch her channel anymore, but I used to enjoy her DIY and sewing content.

4. Millenial Love by Ryan Higa and Kina Grannis

This is a country-style song about love in the modern age. It’s really good, but I don’t think many people have heard of it. You should give it a listen if you’re bored!

5. Dong Saya Dae by BgA

I’ve talked about this one before, but it’s a great kpop song from my favorite Kpop boy band (don’t attack me pls.) Great lyrics, awesome beat, it’s just a great song for anyone who likes Kpop xD..

6. Nice Guys by Ryan Higa

This is a true childhood memory song for people a few years older than me, but as for me I recently listened to it and it’s pretty good! Honestly, I think the nostalgia factor is a big part of it for most people, but not me. Hey, maybe this is me reminding you that this song exists!

My Sister’s Elementary Graduation

Today was my sister’s graduation from elementary school! It was pretty interesting, seeing how online graduation happens in one particular school. Obviously elementary school graduation isn’t seen as importantly as high school or college, but it was still fun and cool to watch! I hope this post is interesting to you and that you enjoy it. Scroll to the end for additional information!

There were several stages of the ceremony. First, there was a overall welcome led by the principal. The principal presented an important award to a student. Then, a second award was presented to another student. I wasn’t really watching this part, so I don’t know much about it, but I know that’s what happened.

There were three classes of graduating 5th graders. Each class had a separate section of the ceremony in which they received their diploma/certificate and said a few words. By a few words, I mean literally a few words. Each class’ time started off with the teacher saying a bit about how the class was, and then moving on to the ceremony. Each student’s name would be called out and someone would hand them a certificate (earlier delivered to their houses.) The student would say a few words and then the next student would be called. At the end of the section, the teacher would call for the tassel of their graduation cap to be moved from right to left. It was a very fun and exciting moment for everyone!

The next part of the ceremony was really sweet. Several students had prepared a message to share about their teachers, principal, and school. They read their sentiments and presented gifts to who they were talking about. The fifth grade class had raised over a thousand dollars to be donated to the school and to be used in the library! It was very cool and the librarian also said a short speech.

This next part was my personal favorite; a screenshare of a fun PowerPoint accompanied by music with pictures of students throughout the year, each student getting a slide dedicated to them showing the student at different ages and including a quote that inspires them. In addition to the students’ slides, there were pictures of students at school that had been taken throughout the year scattered within the PowerPoint. I think it was super funny and really awesome seeing everyone and looking for familiar faces within the photos. The music included some bomb pop songs and some weird happy music, and it was pretty great overall. The ceremony ended with “closing remarks” and everyone throwing their cap in the air. It was very fun!

Overall, I think this graduation went well and it was a really nice way of celebrating even through the COVID-19 pandemic. I hope you enjoyed reading this but even if you didn’t you should definitely read ALL my other posts because I want to get more views!! Mwahahah I can’t end without a heck ton of self promo, so make sure to check out my book blog and my YouTube channel which will be having new videos soon! My New YouTube Go-To’s

During the COVID-19 shutdown, we’ve all had a lot of extra time on our hands. Some of you guys may be bored, but I’ve spent my time finding and binging different YouTubers that I hadn’t really watched before. I really really discovered some great people and great videos to watch that I hadn’t before. Here’s a list of some of the great content I’ve been watching recently!

1. Simply Nailogical

This is crazy for me to think about right now, but once upon a time, I didn’t like Cristine Rotenberg! I actually hadn’t watched, like, any of her videos, but I thought she was too explicit and annoying. This was many years ago, and today, I am happy to say that Simply Nailogical is one of my favorite YouTubers! Cristine has super funny videos and great nail art. I really recommend subscribing to her and buying nail polish from Holo Taco, her brand! Not that I own any 😦 I’d love to have some one day.

2. James Charles

This is how I started watching James Charles: I watched some of his makeup videos, really enjoyed them, tried to find more makeup videos, decided to watch Instant Influencer, got addicted and really stressed out (it’s so stressful!!), watched the whole thing, and now I’m a big fan. Join the sisterhood!

3. PewDiePie

I used to only watch PewDiePie for LWIAY but a few weeks ago, I decided to start watching his Minecraft series, and it is amazing, beautiful, heartbreaking, and hilarious. I really recommend watching it! As for LWIAY, I kind of prefer 2019 LWIAY but it’s fine, there’s a lot of content for me to watch other than that. I’m pretty sure he uploads daily so that is f u n. Also, Meme Review is pretty interesting. I love Felix and Marzia as people too, so yay!

4. RoomieOfficial

Joel from RoomieOfficial has awesome singing and reaction videos daily, and I’ve started watching more of his content during this time! He has a lot of talent in singing, producing, and music. He’s worked with PewDiePie (above) on songs like Congratulations, and I think you can ALL agree Roomie’s part of the song is by far the best-sounding part of the song. Maybe the lyrics are better in Felix’s part, but idk. Anyway, I really enjoy Joel’s content as well. I totally recommend you to watch some of his videos!

5. The Try Guys

The Try Guys have lots of great content and many funny videos from both before the lockdown and now. They still upload and they are all super funny and cool individuals! I really like Zach, idk why but he is my favorite. Ned, Keith, and Eugene are also hilarious icons. They have some really cool videos, and I really recommend checking them out! My favorites include the Without a Recipe series and others. They used to be a part of Buzzfeed, so there are many videos featuring them on Buzzfeed’s channel as well!

Thanks for reading everyone!
